About the event

Join Nida Din, Esq. and Amanda Tuite to learn how to request equitable access to communication in any court-related setting in Texas. The more you know about the ADA and other disability laws, the more you can advocate for yourself effectively. We also will share different resources that are at your disposal.

Key Takeaways:

  1. How to get an interpreter in court
  2. Your rights & responsibilities
  3. Courtroom procedures

This presentation is for anyone to join, especially deaf and hard-of-hearing people, to become more aware of accessibility.

This presentation is in ASL.  Voice Interpreters will be provided. Access Vine's Resource Specialist Program is funded by Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services under Texas Health and Human Services.

P.S. You are cordially invited to join us on October 3, 2024, for our upcoming in-person workshop at Austin Community College. The event will feature the same informative content but with increased community engagement.
