About the event

You are invited to Access Vine's Lunch & Learn Webinar Series.

We have invited Mary Catherine Hess from CapTel to discuss how to access workplace communication.

Navigating the workplace as a deaf or hard-of-hearing person can present unique challenges. Communicating with co-workers and advocating for communication access can help make workplace experiences go smoothly. In this presentation, Mary Catherine Hess, MA of CapTel Outreach, will provide an overview of several no-cost solutions available to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who are currently employed and those who are seeking employment. A review of various ways to utilize captions for telephone and Zoom calls will be covered. In addition, Mary Catherine will provide several educational resources related to self-advocacy and communication access tips in the workplace.
